Crafternoon sessions now at Downham Market's old fire station
The popular children's Crafternoon sessions, held at Downham Library pre-Covid, are moving to a new home at Discover Downham, in the old fire station.
Crafternoon, organised by Sue Wilkinson, is aimed at children from four years old upwards where they have fun learning new skills and using a variety of methods and materials including paints, clay, origami, yarn crafts and, at this time of year, Christmas items with sparkly gems.
The sessions will run from 2pm to 3.30pm on Saturday afternoons and cost just £1 per child. All materials are provided but children are asked to bring their own pritt stick and must be accompanied by an adult.
There will be two sessions next month. one on December 4 and another on December 11 and it is hoped that these will then become regular events throughout 2022.
Sue said: "Crafternoon was very popular pre-Covid so I am really excited about starting again in such a lovely new venue. I am looking forward to seeing familiar faces and new ones as well."
A trustee at Discover Downham said:"Crafternoon is a great children's event to hold at the Centre and we look forward to welcoming Sue and wish her every success.
