It’s curtain up next week for Downham Amateur Dramatic Society (DADS) with their new play Greed, a comedy by local award-winning playwright Steve Harper.
Fennels Nob is a small island in the Irish Sea, situated mid-way between the UK and Ireland.
There are only 94 inhabitants and they all lead honest and respectable lives....well the village shop keeper is a bit suspect, but nothing has ever been proven!
Normality comes to an abrupt halt, however, when the islanders discover a way to make them all very, very rich. How much money would you want before you say enough is enough?
Will Concepta and Malcolm be allowed to marry? Will Dermot O’Toole forgive Mrs Royce for the loss of his water?
Will Prudence and the mysterious stranger from Brussels fall in love? Will Emily ever cook another Ostrich? Who is Ludmilla the lady from Lithuania? Will Mr Plover’s swellings go down?
