Drive-in cinema plan for West Acre
Westacre Theatre is to import a touch of Americana later this month with a drive-in cinema, making the most of the great outdoors and the idyllic grounds overlooking the landscaped lagoon.
The four very diverse screenings should mean there is something that will appeal to everyone. The films were carefully selected after a recent audience survey.
What should you expect? Tickets (per car, not per person) are now available online at www.westacretheatre.com On arrival, you will be given a blue tooth speaker which ensures that you can hear the film soundtrack as loudly or as softly as you choose from the privacy, security and comfort of your own vehicle - and without a mask in your car.
Hot dogs and alcoholic drinks can be obtained from an outside kiosk using contactless payments; your order will be served to your car.
Films on the specially erected screen begin at dusk and you can stay on afterwards if you like until 11pm. Why not try West Norfolk’s new Drive-In Cinema and see what you think?
The 1980s classic Back To The Future opens the run on Friday, May 21, with 17-year-old student Marty McFly travelling back in time in his DeLorean car.
The following Friday (28th ) brings you Misbehaviour, a new British drama about a group of women planning to disrupt the 1970 Miss World Pageant in London. The impressive cast list includes Keira Knightley, Keeley Hawes and Rhys Ifan.
In great contrast, the British gangster thriller The Gentlemen hits the giant screen on Friday, June 4.
The final film will be shown on Saturday June 5, when Hugh Jackman celebrates show business legend PT Barnum creating his worldwide spectacular sensation in The Greatest Showman.
You have access to Westacre Theatre’s toilets should you need them. So there is everything you could possibly want in a Government-approved Covid-secure night out.
