There is a strong Lynn connection with an upcoming gig taking place at The Portland Arms in Cambridge on Saturday, April 22.

It is being staged by HYO Music, a London-based grassroots services for artists and bands, which was established last year by Ed Skerry (Lynn born and bred), following his relocation to the capital.

He says: “The aim of HYO Music is to try and offer support to unsigned artists and bands with getting shows booked and promotion.

“Run as a hobby and by no means an industry expert, HYO Music’s ethos is to simply help artists they love get the exposure they deserve.”

Ed’s first show with HYO is at the Portland Arms in Cambridge, with some of East Anglia’s freshest and up and coming artists.

Playing are Norwich-based folk rock group Morganway, Cambridge-based indie quartet The Rose Affair and Lynn’sindie-rock outfit The Extons. Supporting the joint headliners is singer-songwriter Adam Tucker, hailing from Lynn but recently moved to Leeds to pursue a career in music.

Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are priced at £6.
