EXHIBITIONS

LYNN: Groundwork Gallery, Purfleet Street:

Saturday until July 15, Wednesdays to Saturdays, 11am-4pm, new exhibition The Art of Waste, art defining what waste means, artists exhibiting: Jeremy Butler. Liz Elton, Caroline Hyde Brown, Lizzie Kimbley, Kai Lossgott, Eugene Macki, Jan Eric Visser, Rain Wu.

Town Hall: Stories of Lynn:

Open daily,10am to 4.30pm, £3.95 adult, £2.95 concessions, £1.95 child, £9.80 family ticket, inter-active exhibitions outlining the fascinating history of Lynn.

True’s Yard Fisherfolk Museum:

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-4pm exhibition Town and Maritime, photographs, memorabilia, history of the North End fishing community, admission ££3.50, concessions £3, children over five £1.50, family £6.50.

Lynn Museum, Market Street:

Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm. Current exhibition – Hoards: Archaeological Treasures from West Norfolk

DOWNHAM: Discover Downham:

Thursdays-Fridays, 10am-4pm, Saturdays 10am-1pm, discover Downham’s heritage, research facilities.

HUNSTANTON: Town Hall:

Artworks @the Town Hall, The Old Tourist Information Centre, open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. selection of affordable and local Norfolk artists and artisan works. Limited free parking outside.

LYNN: Walks Stadium:

Fridays, 10am-noon, Linnets in the Community feelgood coffee mornings and warm space, free admission, all welcome.

Norfolk Arena:

Saturday, 5pm, stockcar racing;

Open daily, lambing season, children’s activities, meet the animals, waymarked walking trails, tractor and trailer tours to feed the deer.

STOW BARDOLPH: Church Farm:

WEREHAM: Village Hall:

Saturday, 2-4pm, St Faith’s Church spring fair, raffle, tombola, stalls, home-made products, free admission, raising money for church funds.

Saturday, 8am-1.30pm, book sale, Bridget Wells raising money for Motor Neurone Disease.

Knights Hill Barn:

Friday, 7.30pm, bingo in aid of East Anglian Air A mbulance.

GRIMSTON: Village Hall, Pott Row:

Friday, 2-5pm, sale of books and jigsaws, in aid of hall funds.

MIDDLETON: Village Hall:

Sunday, viewing from 11am, sale starts 1pm, charity auction raising funds for the village hall and for the charity All Dogs Matter. For more information call 07879 243253.

NARBOROUGH: Community Centre:

Fridays, 7.30pm, bingo evening in aid of hall funds;

Monday, 6.30pm for 7.30pm start, Easter prize bingo. All monies raised to go towards buying a new handcycle for local wheelchair using fundraiser Mark Howard to raise funds for the Bridge for Heroes in Lynn.
