Pensthorpe reserve offers visitors to enjoy nature for free this Father’s Day
For nature lovers looking to spend time in the fresh air this Father’s Day, Pensthorpe is offering a free visit to anyone accompanying a fully paying guest on Sunday.
Adults can make a saving of £14.95 on tickets, or £13.95 on children’s, giving them access to the unique reserve that’s buzzing with wildlife and activities to get stuck into.
For families, there is Wild Rootz, the award-winning outdoor play area with a stream for paddling in, or in rainier weather there’s Hootz House to help little ones burn off some energy.
There are trails, bird hides and a boardwalk that weave through the wilderness of the reserve, in addition to five glorious gardens blooming with flowers, greenery and wildlife, including nesting birds and plenty of insect species.
Natalie Douglas, head of marketing at Pensthorpe, said: “This is the third year we’ve had the Father’s Day offer in place, as we get such fantastic feedback from visitors who enjoy getting closer to wildlife at a discounted price.
“Families come in all shapes and sizes, so whilst this offer marks Father’s Day, fully paying guests can bring their father, mum, sister, brother, grandparent, partner or best friend to enjoy a special day together.”
To fuel guests for their busy day, the site’s Courtyard Café is offering a free hot drink and a full English or plant-based English breakfast for £5, when purchasing a fully priced breakfast.
There is also a varied lunch menu serving hot meals, sandwiches, snacks and other refreshments, with delicious ice cream available to help guests cool off.
Natalie added: “With so much taking place around the reserve, Pensthorpe is a fully immersive day out and whilst it’s an action-packed day with lots to entertain guests, it is also a place of calm and tranquillity, where nature thrives and educates visitors of all ages.”
Adult tickets are £14.95, seniors and child tickets (3-16) are £13.95.
Alternatively, annual membersihps are available for adults at £60, seniors (60+) and children (3-16) are £55.
