Exhibition's last few weeks at King's Lynn gallery
A gallery in Lynn are encouraging visitors to the last few weeks of its Fieldwork exhibition which closes Wednesday, June 25.
The exhibition opened in March and there is still a chance to catch it on Wednesdays to Saturdays, from 11am until 4pm.
Feedback from the exhibition has been positive, describing it as inspiring, interesting and thought-provoking.
There is also an Eco-Poetry workshop to join on Tuesday, June 14 and just beyond the final day, on June 26 the gallery will be open for an evening with Daniel and Clara on their East coast tour, Wording the Edgelands from 11am until 5pm.
Wording the Edgelands by the duo kin'd and kin'd, aka poets Clare Whistler and Kay Syrad, is the duo's latest eco-poetry writing workshop where visitors can spend an immersive day with them in congenial company and explore some themes of the FieldWork exhibition.
The workshops are for everyone and are enjoyable and friendly with themes meet and merge, designed to work together and the second one develops from the first.
A free evening of films and conversation with artist Daniel and Clara will be coming to GroundWork Gallery as a part of their Landscape Imaginary tour on Sunday, June 26 from 6pm until 8pm.
For this event Daniel and Clara will present a selection of their short films that explore the relationship between psychology and place, particularly the impact of weather, nature and environment on the imagination.
Responding to the psychological impact of the global pandemic and the physical restrictions of lockdown, Daniel and Clara created a series of 100 short videos in the landscapes of Mersea Island, where they unexpectedly found themselves living due to the pandemic.
Filmed during their permitted one hour daily walks, this project captures moments of deep engagement with the landscapes and weather through that strange year when people all found ourselves confined to their local environments.
