Expect a swashbuckling show from Westacre Theatre in their Christmas production of Peter Pan
Westacre Theatre Company will have you well and truly Hooked before Christmas as they stage a new and magical production of the much-loved classic Peter Pan.
Running December 16-24, it promises an exciting, alternative, family Christmas show full of music, laughter, and fairy dust.
Developed by writer Becky Owen-Fisher, this cherished story will be told with Westacre Theatre’s usual theatrical flair, with lots of surprises, swashbuckling and enchantment.
“Think of a special, great, big, epic, brilliant, marvellous happy moment,” Westacre Theatre director Sadie Grist says.
“We could not be more thrilled to have the theatre brimming with energy and festive craziness this Christmas! We are so excited to see rehearsals which are full of music and laughter.
"Our directors Becky and Tom have a huge amount of experience directing high energy, slick, fun productions, and we have no doubt that Westacre Theatre Company’s Peter Pan will be a prime example of this!”
Featuring a large cast, many drawn from the theatre’s growing pool of talented young actors, writer Becky said: “Working with Westacre Theatre company has been super special.
"Our huge cast ranges in age from grandparents to grandkids, and everyone plays Peter Pan! There’s loads of silly songs, swashbuckling sword fights, magical moments and daft jokes. Join us in Neverland this Christmas and remember just how much fun it is not to grow up!”
Director Tom Fox is creating a high-energy show that will appeal to all ages, saying: “Peter Pan is all about not growing up, it’s a fun, playful adventure full of joy, laughter and silliness. This show is absolutely packed full of fun and creativity, and we hope the audience will enjoy watching it as much as we’ve enjoyed making it!”
