Festival Too gets a Rude awakening!

The crowds were out in force in King Staithe Square on Saturday for the launch of Festival Too 2018.

With live music provided by Ska tribute band Too Rude, there was no shortage of opportunities to get up and dance, and dance they did.

Providing music during the interval were acoustic duo Emily and Jamie, and they did a great job of keeping the crowd entertained.

The sun was shining, the music was playing, and everyone was in high spirit. It was the perfect way to get this year’s festival underway.

Of course, launch night wouldn’t be the same without the fireworks, and once the music was over and darkness descended, the hoards flocked to the quayside for this year’s spectacle – and once again, it didn’t disappoint.

As usual, this weekend Festival Too moves across to the Tuesday Market Place, where you can see The Edwin Starr Band featuring the late singer’s brother, Angelo Starr, on Friday, and Pixie Lott is on stage on Saturday.
