First look at 2024 Thursford Christmas Spectacular which starts on Friday
With its doors opening this Friday, the team at Thursford has unveiled a first look at the 2024 production of its award-winning Christmas Spectacular.
The show, which is back for its 47th year, promises to be another spell-binding spectacle of non-stop singing, dancing, music, comedy and speciality acts.
With a cast of more than 120 performers on a 130ft stage, the Christmas Spectacular has become one of Europe’s biggest festive shows - with audiences visiting from all over the UK and overseas.
Images reveal what’s in store this year - including one of the biggest groups of Irish dancers seen on the Thursford stage, with more than 80 cast members taking over the auditorium.
Giant dolls, can-can dancers, performing sailors and an all-cast production with comedian Lloyd Hollett are just some of the new routines for this year.
There’s also a sneak peek at this year’s four world-class speciality acts which include Ukrainian contortionists.
Georger Cushing, the Thursford associate producer, said: “This is just a taster of what’s in store for our 47th production.
“With a whole new lighting team, new routines and new costumes to see, we can’t wait to open our doors this Friday and reveal what we have been working on all year. It’s going to be another fantastic season.”
The trailer for the 2024 production was released this week.
Tickets are limited, so advance booking is strongly advised.
The show runs from this Friday until December 23.
