Hunstanton to host 70th anniversary event of The East of England Flower Arranging Show
The East of England Flower Arranging Show is coming to town for its special 70th anniversary event.
Glorious flower arrangements, designed and made by top flower arrangers, will be on display in a free show being introduced to Hunstanton on the weekend of June 15 and 16.
Flower and garden lovers who want to see flowers at their best are invited to The Green for the event, which is organised by the East of England Area of the National Association of Flower Arranging Societies (NAFAS).
Roger Partridge, the Hunstanton events organiser for West Norfolk Council, said: “People who love flowers, good arrangements and just like a splash of colour will love this new event we’ve introduced to the town.
“We have top flower arrangers from all over the east coming to sunny Hunny for the weekend.”
Sue Brinton, the president of the East of England Area of NAFAS, added: “We are pleased to be bringing our 70th anniversary show to Hunstanton and thank the borough council for its help in staging the event.
“There are over 100 entries in our ten competitive floral design competitions, from clubs throughout the East of England. Many of the designs will have seaside themes.
“The displays, combined with our interactive learning area will make it a thoroughly entertaining event for all flower and garden lovers.”
This free event, which is part of the borough council’s Hunstanton events programme, takes place between 9:30am-6pm on Saturday, June 15 and 9:30-5pm on Sunday, June 16.
