Folk in the Town back in King's Lynn this weekend

Folk in the Town is back in the Tuesday Market Place this weekend. Two days of live, and free, music including traditional folk, Americana, folk rock, bluegrass and everything in between from 10.30am until 5pm each day.

Cllr Simon Ring, cabinet member for Tourism, Events and Marketing at West Norfolk Council, said: “As the school holidays start, I’m pleased that the borough council has something planned in Lynn every weekend to give people an extra reason to pop into town and see what’s on offer.

“Over the next few weeks we have a range of free events that should appeal to young and old. Folk in the Town is always well supported and it’s good to see it return for a sixth year.”

Adrian Tebbutt, who organises the event on behalf of the council, said: "We have a wide range of different types of music and dance that will please a broad audience. The headline acts this year - Man the Lifeboats and Banter - are fantastic and we have been able to draw on the strong tradition of folk and acoustic music in the area to highlight the talent to be found in the area to support them. It should be a great weekend."
