Fun-packed evening at Guildhall comedy night
Shakespeare’s Guildhall Trust latest fundraiser is tonight (Friday, March 6) and comes courtesy of the BBC with the show being broadcast on local radio.
There is a line up of no less than six comedians, new and more established, which includes multi award-winning stand-up comedian Tim FitzHigham, as host and compere for the evening.
Tim (also an SGT trustee) hosts these events.
The headline comedienne and star of Radio 4 will be Twayna Mayne.
There are four more comedians who are appearing; local Dersingham girl, Jenny Beake known as ‘Hilarity Jen’, Graham Parry, Daniel McKeown and Helen Simpson, from Norwich.
All have very different styles of comedy.
Providing musical entertainment courtesy of BBC Introducing will be Lynn singer Harry Seaton, 23. His last single was A Song For My Dad – and his new track that he is working on is A Song About My Life, charting his journey from child to adult.
Amanda Arterton, SGT trustee, said: “The trust is really excited for this great line-up, and, of course we are extremely grateful for the BBC agreeing to the trust using it as a fundraiser for us.
“I am also looking forward to everyone activating their chuckle muscles, in the words of the late great Ken Dodd!”
Tickets cost from £8to £12. Book online and collect at the Guildhall from 6.45 when the Crofters Theatre bar and box office opens. Call 01553 764864.
