Wereham church holding fundraising summer festival on Saturday
St Margaret’s Church in Wereham is holding a fundraising summer festival on Saturday, from 11am to 2.30pm.
Activities will be held in the grounds of the medieval Grade II listed church and there will be a wide variety of stalls, including hoopla, books, a tombola, horseshoes, cakes, jams and preserves.
There will also be a barbecue, a raffle and games and activities for children.
Inside the church, there will be a special art exhibition, featuring the work of a number of local artists of all ages, with many of the exhibits available for sale.
If you are interested in submitting one of your paintings or other artwork for display, call Stina (01366 501253) or Chris (01366 500976) for further details. Organisers are particularly interested to hear from children and young people.
Any donations for stalls, raffle prizes, tombola and hoopla would still be appreciated, along with bottles of wine for the wine bottle stall, as well as cakes, preserves, homemade jams and pickles. Items will be gratefully collected if you call Tom (01366 500052), Doreen (01366 500218) or Chris (01366 500976).
