West Acre Gallery launches new exhibition
Autumn always puts on a dazzling display, and at West Acre Gallery it doesn’t disappoint. Basking in autumn’s golden glow, the gallery launches ‘Suspended in Time: Autumn Reflections’, the final in its series of three extended exhibitions for 2023.
Twenty-one Norfolk artists present a variety of paintings, prints, drawings, mixed media, textiles and ceramics, inspired by this vibrant season. Enjoy more than 60 exhibited works on display, including smaller items in the pop-up gift shop.
Discover the silky tapestry of Penny Evans’s textile works. Jill Olenski’s ‘Autumn Leaves’ reflects the colours of the season in quilted satins and cottons. Zelda Eady’s beautiful autumn-inspired linocuts and screenprints depict silhouettes of autumn trees with fallen leaves. For the full sensory experience, Jackie Kitch’s tantalising triptych ‘Essence of Autumn Spices’ incorporates the aromas of turmeric, cajun spice and paprika in a blaze of autumn glory.
A Norfolk exhibition wouldn’t be complete without an array of seascapes and landscapes featuring the county’s wild terrain and rugged coastline, and here we’re spoilt for choice. As a diverse offering, the showcase also displays still life, beautiful abstracts, street art, illustration, and stunning ceramic vases created exclusively for this exhibition.
Suspended in Time: Autumn Reflections is open 11am-4pm Fridays to Sundays only, from now to October 29.
