AJ Pritchard told the Lynn News’ Rebekah Chilvers: “I’m so excited to start the tour, the thing is when it’s that debut show, the first one, you’re excited and nervous all in one. I love it.
“I feel like this show gives the opportunity to other young dancers. When I was given the opportunity for Strictly I grabbed it, and this is good for their own crafts, such as tap and ballet.
“This show has really pushed me out of my comfort zone, like in the couple’s choice category on Strictly when me and Lauren did the first couple’s choice dance and we chose contemporary.
“It shows the way the series is going forward.
“This show travels across the world, so for the Paso Doble we’ve set that scene in Spain, and the American Smooth is in the US.
“One of the best things about doing your own show is you get to do choreography work with other people and have that discussion, and I really enjoyed that process.
“I think the great thing about this show is that, yes, there will be a Strictly audience who want to see ballroom and Latin, and there will be dancing and singing together as we have two live singers, one male and one female vocalist, but it’s for all the senses.
“It’s a really enjoyable, entertaining show.”
AJ added: “The thing is it’s just a great show, even if you may not be into dance, it’s enjoyable for everybody – all age groups.
“There will definitely be audience participation, we want people to get up and enjoy the atmosphere, it’s always more fun that way.
“The story fundamentally will be a world of dance – the show travels around the world and that is what you are feeling.
“As it travels around the world you see a bit more about me, about how I got into dance, as that always intrigues people and they ask how did you start.
“I have never been to King’s Lynn before, but hopefully I will be able to have a look around.”
