Westacre Theatre Company going back to 80s with three ‘incredible’ women for its first production of 2025
A theatre is presenting a “compelling, moving and delightful” play this month as it goes back to the 1980s.
Westacre Theatre Company is going back in time with three “incredible” women for their first production of the year – Di & Viv & Rose.
This moving, charming and beautifully written play by writer and actor Amelia Bullmore tells the story of the eponymous Di, Viv and Rose who meet at university digs and fast become friends.
The play moves with them through their lives as they navigate adulthood, careers, relationships and sexuality all while remaining friends.
Performed all over the world, this play strikes the balance between moments of sharp, biting humorous, heart-warming moments celebrating the joy of the female friendship and moments of pathos and sadness as these three women deal with ups, downs and everything in between.
From the creative team at Westacre Theatre who produced recent sell-out runs of Private Lives, Betrayal, 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche and Colder than Here, under the expert direction of the theatre's director Matt Grist, they continue to produce “innovative, engaging and high-quality” productions in their venue in rural West Norfolk.
The production will be taking place from Thursday, March 13 – Saturday 22, with performances at 3pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets for adults are £18 and £10 for under 21s.
They are available online at www.westacretheatre.com.
Alternatively, tickets can be purchased via the box office on 01760 755007.
