GroundWork Gallery exhibition in King’s Lynn
The GroundWork Gallery is inviting people to view the results of its summer residency.
The official opening is on Saturday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at its Purfleet Street base.
The gallery has had 14 artists in residence between its three partner venues during the summer and each one has contributed existing work for the first iteration of the exhibition.
Now, the show has been reorganised to show what the artists have been working on, inspired by the Ground Beneath Our Feet - and the many ways they have been exploring it together with many collaborators.
The exhibition will be open until September 30, Wednesday to Saturday, 11am to 4pm, plus on Lynn Heritage Open Day on Sunday, September 10.
Also, Lucy Dukes is holding a drop-in foil-drawing workshop on Saturday and Sunday, September 9 and 10 from 2pm to 4pm. She will be exploring the connectedness between extracted material and organic growth. Admission is free, with a donation if you can afford it.
Look out also for a new exhibition in the Fermoy Gallery and Shakespeare Barn curated by Contemporary and Country: Heads and Tails, featuring 10 artists exploring the interspecies bonds between humans and animals. Opens on September 8 and runs until October 28.
