Discover Downham Halloween half term spooky craft workshop in Downham Market
Discover Downham is running a special Halloween craft workshop for children during half term.
Sue Wilkinson used to run the very successful Crafternoon sessions at Downham Library and later at Discover Downham and she is now collaborating with the centre on the workshop during the holiday, called Spooky Crafts.
It takes place on Wednesday, October 26, 2-4pm at The Old Fire Station, Priory Road. It is tailored for children aged 5 upwards and all children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
If younger siblings wish to attend they are welcome and Sue can simplify some tasks to keep them occupied. However please be aware that due to health and safety, there may be some items which the under-fives cannot use.
The workshop cost is £2 per child and advance booking is recommended, though there may be some limited entry on the day.
Tickets are available from Discover Downham during opening hours 10-4pm Thursday/Friday and 10-1pm on Saturday or email discoverdownham.org.uk or you can telephone 01366 384428.
It promises to be great fun with a variety of spooky craft items to complete and take home afterwards.
All materials, apart from Pritt Stick which you are asked to bring, are provided and the volunteers have also been very busy collecting items to recycle into spooky things.
Sue Wilkinson said: “Before heading home with your creations, put your hand in our Spooky Feel Box if you dare. Will you get a trick or treat?”
