This Friday, the Twisted Melon Battle Of The Bands goes heavy.
Chicago’s, in Lynn, will turn back the clocks as for one night only it becomes a real rock venue.
Triston Finnis, of Twisted Melon, said: “The place will be unrecognisable with live music, cheap beer and free entry.
“In keeping with this alternative/metal heat the judges will change too, with like-minded music professionals, musicians and promoters on the panel.”
Heat 7 of BOTB all kicks off at 7pm and this is an over-18 night.

BaitHead are a Norwich- based five-piece hard rock/metal act...from face melting solos to ska grooves. They are Johnnie Grindaaah on vocals, Dick Buttress on guitar, Izzy F on guitar, El Garcon on bass and Baccy Plug Taylaa on drums. Their influences include Wyld Stallyns, Spinal Tap, Crucial Taunt, Marty Mcfly and the Starlighters, Dethklok.

Exit Through The Gift Shop have been slowly rising from a three-piece garage rock band with beaten up guitars into the four-piece experienced and tight sounding alternative/metal band here today.
They are all long-time friends and with more than four years of playing together and over 20 years of smashing out heavy music, they have a lot to offer and a likeability to go with it. Influences include Parkway Drive, Slipknot, Bury Tomorrow, Slayer and Architects.
Vulpes are a four-piece grunge band from Norfolk. Formed in November 2015, they have been hard at work in the studio recording their first EP. The band consists of Will Penney with lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Chris Wright on lead guitar, Sam Drake on bass and Shaun English on drums
Vulpes’ influences include, Nirvana, Queens of the Stoneage, Soundgarden, Band of Skulls and Royal Blood. Described by BBC Introducing as having ‘a passion for big rock and roll sound’.
