Holkham Food Festival this weekend
After a year’s break, the North Norfolk Food and Drink Festival is back at Holkham’s glorious walled garden this Saturday and Sunday, 10am-4pm.
Now in its 12th year, the free festival sees 65 local producers selling everything delightful and delicious from gin to chocolate, bread to cheese and chutney to brownies.
And at the Cookery Theatre is the perfect place to see some of our amazing local chefs in action.
They include Jordan Bayes from The Chequers Inn at Thornham who is offering up a peachy dessert; plant-based cook Sara Matthews who will show you how to create a delicious (and super healthy) breakfast; Michael Chamberlain from The Victoria Inn at Holkham who will use produce from the Holkham Estate; Fran Hartshorne from the White Horse at Brancaster Staithe who is creating a Norfolk lobster and King’s Lynn brown shrimp risotto with Brancaster marsh foraged herbs; and Jes Paskins from The Ostrich Inn at South Creake who promises a chilli crab dish.
Entry to the festival is free and there is a £5 charge for the car park.
Other names featured on the festival line-up include Stuart Wyllie from The Gin Trap at Ringstead, Michelle Wade from the Two Magpies Bakery and Meg Greenacre, a Norfolk-based vegan chef.
