Hunstanton Arts Fest announce summer programme

The Hunstanton & District Festival of Arts has unveiled its summer programme for 2018.

There is a wide selection to choose from including lots of live music “At the Spinney”. Poetry Mornings, a live outdoor theatre performance and week of one act plays at the Princess

Theatre in July.

On Saturday 9, June you will find “Decades”, an acoustic trio playing live on the Spinney at the end of the High Street. ”Autumn Roots”, Classic Rock & Country are are on July 7 th and Katie Mercer sings solo on August 22. Performance starts at 1pm and are free.

The Hunstanton Poetry Mornings, are now at the Town Hall Chambers on June 12, The Sea is at 10.30. entry is free with refreshments available.

The latest ceramic tile project with tiles designed by the public to be later displayed at the sea front will be launched in conjunction with Paint Me Ceramics on Sunday 24, at

Hunstanton’s Carnival on the Green.

The Hunstanton Drama Festival of one-act plays runs from Thursday July 5 to Sunday July 8, with two matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 2.30 pm.

Here is a chance to see the best amateur drama groups from all over the Eastern Area performing under one roof. The final “Red Carpet Night” includes performances from the winning entries from the Youth Dance Festival held in May. Tickets £9 from the theatre on 01485 532252 or www.princesstickets.co.uk.

On Friday, August 3, at 7.30pm Heartbreak Productions present “Pride & Prejudice” (their way) in the grounds at Thornham Village Hall. Tickets cost £12 or £10 and are

available from Hunstanton Tourist Information Office 01485 532610. Please bring warm clothing, food and a chair.

The annual “Picnic on the Green” with the Town Concert Band will take place on Sunday, August 26 from 2-4pm. This year there’s a 1940’s theme, so dress up and bring a hamper

and some seating and enjoy this free treat. There will be sideshows and games as well.
