Hunstanton carnival parade is open for people, businesses, groups and stall holders to join in the popular seaside event
For those interested in joining Hunstanton Carnival fun on Sunday, June 25 then now is the time to register.
Anyone can be part of the carnival and it is really easy for families, groups, organisations and businesses to join either in the parade or on The Green as a stallholder.
This year’s theme is the King’s Coronation and those interested can get into the spirit by dressing up and signing up to join in.
The carnival route is from the Recreation Ground at 1pm to The Green and is fully accessible for pushchairs, wheelchairs and mobility scooters.
Families are welcome and encouraged to take part in the carnival procession and it is easy to just join in with no need for expensive or elaborate costumes - just dress up and go along.
The event organisers are also looking for fun, creative performers for the parade as individuals, or groups of any size.
These can be dancers, musicians, marching bands, stilt walkers, walkabout acts, majorettes or pretty much anything else.
The carnival is just one event taking place over the King’s Coronation festival weekend and there will be live music with KL1 Radio Station and various artists entertaining from midday until 10pm.
The popular event is arranged by Hunstanton Town Council and the parade through the town is always the highlight of the day.
As well as traditional decorated floats and vehicles, from cars to tractors, cycles and even fire engines, individuals and groups can just walk along the route.
The organisers are interested in hearing from all genres of performers from choir singers, dancers or gymnasts who would be happy to entertain the crowds.
It is also a good opportunity for stall holders to promote their business.
