A special guest to Norfolk this weekend is Katrina of “Walking on Sunshine” fame.
She will be rocking the terrace and main lawn as part of the Stody Boutique Festival on Sunday at Stody Lodge Gardens which is three miles south of Holt.
Katrina, from the Grammy-nominated band, Katrina and the Waves will perform hits from her stellar international music career on the terrace of Stody Lodge at 4pm in front of hundreds of festival goers and Stody Lodge’s sensational rhododendron and azalea gardens.
“Walking on Sunshine” was a top ten hit around the globe in 1985. It has been featured in countless advertisements and films since and has been covered by Dolly Parton and Beyoncé.
In 1997 her song “Love Shine A Light” won the Eurovision Song Contest with the largest ever margin and reached No. 3 in the UK charts.
Katrina is just one of many acts and activities for visitors to enjoy at the Stody Boutique Festival. Set within Stody’s celebrated colourful gardens and surrounding parkland, this boutique festival will be home to Norfolk’s finest artisans, specialist food producers, live music, classic cars, children’s activities including farm yard animals, face painting and treasure hunt, relaxation zone, cocktail and prosecco bar – and of course vintage stalls.
Kate MacNicol, Stody Lodge Gardens, said: “We are delighted to be hosting this fantastic event. With the gardens in full bloom, delicious food and lots to see and do, it promises to be the perfect Sunday outing both for gardening enthusiasts and those looking for a really fun day out.”
The Stody Boutique Festival is open 11am to 5pm; entrance £9, children under 12 free. Tickets can be bought at the entrance to the event, payable by cash only.
