Sunday saw the finalists in the most heated Simply Acoustic competition yet pitted against each other for a final showdown at The Woolpack pub in Lynn.
Six acts were competing for the chance to win a performance at the Christmas lights switch on this Thursday, with only two slots available.
Organiser Triston Finnis said: “The Simply Acoustic Final was without doubt one of the best showings of local talent I’ve ever seen. An incredible display of just how great our local music scene is.
“This is a competition, yet we had acts lending guitars to their competitors to improve performance of certain songs and standing at the front as their biggest supporters!”
He added: “Congratulations to winners The Georgia Shackleton Trio, runners-up Morganway. Also well done and thank you to Sally-Ann Pottle, Soham De, Fazed and Jay Harrison for making it such an incredible evening of music.
“Also I need to thank our judges Rosina Penfold, Paul Heath, Tristan Long and Philip Pearson for giving a great critique and fantastic advice for some of the younger acts which they definitely took on board for the final.”
The winning acts performed at the light’s switch on in Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place last night, alongside acts including X Factor contestants Paul Akister and Rough Copy.
