Sandringham's spectacular after dark light trail starts Friday
This winter, the Royal Estate welcomes the return of Luminate Sandringham, a spectacular after dark light trail through the Royal Parkland starting Friday until Sunday, December 19.
In collaboration with Luminate Live, the captivating light trail takes visitors on a mile-long path through woodlands with the extraordinary landscape brought to life by ambient music and magical light play.
With new installations the outdoor winter light experience offers an element of sparkle this winter by timed entry tickets, so visitors can enjoy the event and create memories in a safe way.
Stroll under the stars beneath illuminated historic trees, then warm and toast marshmallows by fire pits or indulge in scrumptious festive food and drinks from Sandringham Courtyard.
Luminate Live organiser Daniel Maycock said: "We are really excited to bring our magical event back to Sandringham.
"It’s a stunning setting and perfect for an enchanting light trail. It’s a fabulous way to get out in the fresh air and we look forward to welcoming visitors to the event throughout November and December."
Garry Marsden, visitor enterprise manager at Sandringham said: "We are delighted to host this exciting family event again at Sandringham.
"The combination of the beautiful setting in Sandringham Royal Parkland and the magical lighting is a wonderful experience that brightens up the darkest of winter evenings."
In addition to the winter light trail this year, Henry Chipperfield will present a 1906 vintage fairground, bringing a classic helter skelter, carousel, chair’o’planes or the chance view the illuminations from above on a spectacular ferris wheel.
Sandringham Gift Shop will also remain open later selling estate produce, handmade gifts and decorations.
