Famous names such as Rod Stewart, Jools Holland and Pete Waterman are enthusiasts – and locally model railways are maintaining their popularity.

You can judge for yourself when Lynn Model Railway Club holds open days at Pott Row Village Hall. These will be from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday, February 20-21, when a number of layouts will be on display, sponsored by BJ Models of Norfolk Street, Lynn.

For more information on the event, contact John Player on 01553 631335 or Simon Lemmon on 01553 679255.

Looking further ahead and also further afield, Dereham Model Railway Exhibition is being held at the Memorial Hall, Norwich Street, Dereham, on Saturday, February 27, from 10am to 4pm.

Fifteen layouts are booked in, plus trade, societies and demonstrators; admission is £5 for adults with accompanied children free.
