Burnham Deepdale gets spooky for Halloween
Halloween brings an exciting new outdoor theatrical event with a spooky theme to the coast.
Deepdale Haunted – A Wild Ride is a promenade performance using storytelling, music and movement to tell stories of myths and ghosts of Norfolk.
It comes to the orchard at Dalegate Market, Burnham Deepdale, courtesy of the Slow Theatre Company and takes place between Friday, October 22 and Sunday, October 31.
Audiences will enter the event in small groups of up to 20 and will be met by a guide who will escort them along a trail from one performance space to another.
At each space they will meet a different character from the past and present, each with a tale to tell of ghosts and legends of Norfolk.
The whole journey takes between an hour and 90 minutes from arrival and as they leave they will walk through the pumpkin patch where they can buy a pumpkin for tea,
Groups will enter the trail up to 15 times a day. They will all be outdoors although there is overhead coverage at the performance areas.
Deepdale Haunted has been written by Stephen Keyworth and performed by the theatre company which supports freelance artists recover from the effects of lockdown while audience have a safe and fun way of re-engaging with live theatre.
