Discover Downham November events include quiz, Heritage Society open meeting ‘A Leper House in Wisbech' and table top sale





Discover Downham, based at The Old Fire Station in Priory Road, has a host of events lined up for next month.

They begin with a quiz on Wednesday, November 2 at 7 for 7.30pm start. Bring your own drinks and nibbles. Admission is £5 with free raffle. Contact Peter on 07931 577192.

A regular Heritage Society open meeting features ‘A Leper House in Wisbech’ – a talk by Diane Calton Smith – on Wednesday, November 16 at 7.30pm.

Admission £4/members £3. No need to book seats.

A table top sale will take place on Sunday, November 20, from 9.30am to noon.

Visitors are welcome to browse, enjoy the morning and find bargains galore, while refreshments will be available.

Donations of articles for sale for the benefit of Discover Downham will be gratefully received in the week before the event.

The last event of the month will be a coffee morning on Friday, November 25, 10am-noon.

Discover Downham’s heritage 2023 fundraising calendars are also now available to buy, costing £6 each plus £1.50 if posted.
