Spokesman Tom Clarke said: “We set ourselves a big challenge for our 75th anniversary production to fill the Corn Exchange for five performances and we are really close to doing that with only a few rows left for several performances!

“The Saturday Matinee at 2.30pm and the evening show at 7.30pm have proved the most popular but even opening night is filling up fast”

Chairman Chris Fox said: “It’s been amazing to see the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm of the whole cast, 45 children and 25 adults, and this will be one of the biggest and best productions we have ever staged and a fitting way to celebrate 75 years of trading the boards”
