Holkham Hall is regarded by many as the birthplace of modern agriculture – and you can find out why at a special Open Farm Sunday this weekend.
Visitors will be able to see displays of the farm and forestry machinery with teams from the farm, forestry and game departments who will be able to provide an insight into the important work they do.
There will be a sheep shearing demonstration and exhibitors from major companies including British Sugar, Crush and Dewing Grain.
Also on the programme will be plenty of fun attractions, quizzes and craft activities for younger visitors, including a mini-tractor course and face painting.
Open Farm Sunday at Holkham also offers visitors half-price entry to the Field to Fork exhibition which tells the story of Holkham’s unique farming history and demonstrates the relationship between the land and food production.
