Outdoor production of The Importance of Being Earnest being staged at Sedgeford Village Hall Playing Field
Over the past 10 years, Sedgeford Village Hall has staged a wide range of professional drama productions with another being put on this week.
Officials say that these shows have enabled it to build a loyal following of playgoers and bring in performances which has put it alongside some of East Anglia's better-known theatrical venues.
This Saturday will mark the organising committee's most ambitious dramatic production yet when they stage Oscar Wilde’s comedy, The Importance of Being Earnest at Sedgeford Village Hall Playing Field at 7.30pm.
The play will be performed outdoors on Sedgeford’s playing field and a cordoned-off area will accommodate up to 250 people with on-site parking that is free.
Guests are invited to bring camping chairs and picnics to enjoy this comedy performed by Rain or Shine Theatre Company, a long-established Gloucester-based professional group of players who have performed twice in Sedgeford.
Tickets are £16 for adults and £8 for children and can be purchased online: Barclays Acc.No. - 40519138 Sort Code - 20/46/65 (Sedgeford Village).
