Pensthorpe Fakenham Natural Park Christmas Market and North Norfolk Pole event

Pensthorpe is set to sprinkle magic across Norfolk with festive occasions, including a Christmas Market and The North Norfolk Pole event, helping families and friends enjoy a special time of year.

At the North Norfolk Pole, little ones can speak to the man himself and meet Santa in the Fakenham nature reserve’s magical courtyard experience from Saturday, December 17 until Friday, December 23.

Visitors will receive a special nature-themed gift and be able to reveal all their Christmas wishes in a beautifully adorned setting with twinkling lights and festive music.

Back by popular demand, the nature reserve is also hosting a one-off Christmas Market on Sunday, November 27. Attended by handpicked artisan food and drink suppliers, artists and crafters from the region, visitors can browse the stalls for gift inspiration, bespoke decorations, or pick up a special treat for themselves all whilst enjoying a picturesque outdoor setting.

Natalie Douglas, head of marketing at Pensthorpe, said: “Christmas is an opportunity for families and friends to make special memories, and we’re proud that Pensthorpe can play its part in providing so many people’s happy festive experiences.

“Last year’s Christmas events were a great success and we had wonderful feedback from visitors of all ages. We can’t wait to do it all again this year.”

Guests can pack even more magic into their visit by upgrading their tickets with entry to the reserve, where they can explore five beautiful gardens, admire the natural world in winter, and relax with a much-needed cuppa while the children play in the award-winning play areas, Wild Rootz and Hootz House.

“The reserve is open to visitors throughout the festive period and as the seasons shift to winter there’s some beautiful plants to see, native wildlife to observe and crisp fresh air to breathe in. With the gift shop and café open for seasonal treats too, Pensthorpe is a heart-warming Christmas day out for all,” added Natalie.

All tickets are available to purchase from the website: www.pensthorpe.com

Entry to the Christmas Market is £2 for adults (over 16s) and free for season ticket holders and children under-16, but please note this does not include admission to the reserve.

Tickets for The North Norfolk Pole event are £7.95 for all children, which includes admission for one adult. Please note a separate ticket applies to enter the reserve.

• The Christmas Market runs from 10am-4pm, with grotto slots available from 1pm-4pm on weekends and 11am-4pm on weekdays.

Pensthorpe is open every day until the end of December. Visit the website for more details on opening times.
