Joy Wylie, from the Purfleet Trust said: "We work with people who are homeless or vulnerably housed to help them find a sustainable pathway out of homelessness. We are hoping some of the local businesses will be able to get involved and help us out with the day."

Some of the ways in which local businesses can support the event are by sponsorship and providing prizes for the raffle, fun dog show and the fete games.

Businesses can also get involved by setting up a stall on the common on the day either selling goods or with a fundraising activity such as a tombola, lucky dip or fete game.

Other ways to highlight the event are by promoting the event on social media and volunteering to help out on the day with stalls.

Joy said: "We have a fun dog show organised by Barking Nags and Heacham Minors Football Club will be running football activities, have- a -go crafts for chidren are being provided by Recycled Crafts, and there will be a tea and cake stall with seating for people to enjoy.

Plus there will be be Henna tattoos, face painting, local craft stalls, old fashioned sweet stall, traditional fete games and lots more.
