Review: The Journey to Oz at Hunstanton Town Hall
Choreography was excellent in this Panto especially in the transformation scene in the woods and was by Abigail Brown and Imogen Williams, both talented dancers.
They were all supported by a large chorus of child munchkins who danced and sang beautifully and a rather strange wardrobe person who all added to the fun.
The costumes were beautiful and could have dressed a West End stage and the scenery by Alan Chesters and Michael Haycock was stunning especially for the UV sequences.
The stunning costumes were designed by Elaine Verweymeren who wrote the script and made the props with help from others. The atmospheric lighting and sound was by Mark Hesling.
Well done to all the cast and crew. My only criticism was that it could have been a bit shorter. This was family entertainment at its best and was quite obviously a team effort, and I will be looking forward to next year’s unique new writing with pleasure.
This was a panto with a difference!
