Review: Vladimir and Anton: The Violinists, St George's Guildhall
Laughter, singing, foot tapping, and, of course, music were all part of Vladimir and Anton: The Violinists' performance at St George's Guildhall yesterday.
Part of the King's Lynn Festival, the two brothers played through almost two-hours of music, treating their audience to modern mixtures and contemporary classics.
Their song choices included Que Sera Sera, Berlin Puttin' On The Ritz, Coldplay's Viva La Vida, Avicii's Wake Me Up, among many more.
The violinists said they enjoy selecting their songs "at the final minute", which entertained their audience as they discussed which tune to play next while on stage.
Playing their own composition, named Vladimir & Anton Lillia, the brothers spoke about how they were struggling to recompose any known themes and so decided to compose something completely new.
And their Guildhall audience seemed to thoroughly enjoy their original tune, with foot tapping, clapping and nods of appreciation throughout.
To end the evening, they tested out one of their recomposed modern mixtures, Wake Me Up by Avicii.
