Save these dates for a busy year in King's Lynn
West Norfolk Council has announced its programme of events for 2020 that will once again see Lynn turned into a festival town.
Graham Middleton, cabinet member for business development, said: “We’ve announced our programme of events for 2020 because we know everyone wants to get these dates in their diaries.
“Hanse Festival returns for the 12th year in a row and is followed by many of our popular and established events.
“The Hanse Water-Ski Race returns to the South Quay and, new this year, a jet-ski event will also take place.
“The Tuesday Market Place will host the return of Folk in the Town and Mods and Rockers. We’ve already opened the entries for Mini Meet and Classic Car Day, such was the demand last year – visit our website now to book your place.
“The team at King’s Lynn Town Hall have planned some amazing things to celebrate and commemorate VE and VJ Days. They also want to hear from anybody who was around 75 or more years ago and want to take part in the parties.
“Once again we’re proud to be supporting the organisers of Festival Too and King’s Lynn Festival too.
“The season finishes off in Sunny Hunny as 50 karts race through the street for the Soap Box Derby. I can’t wait to see it all!”
“Our events programme will be updated throughout the year, so keep an eye on the events page on the borough council website, and our social media accounts.”
The borough council will also be supporting a number of events that are arranged by other organisations.
Full details of events will be posted at west-norfolk.gov.uk/events as they are confirmed. Updates will also be posted on twitter @WestNorfolkBC and on Facebook @BCKLWNnewsandevents
