Sowing memories of historic King's Lynn shop

This weekend's Taylor's Seed Shop exhibition and talk will sow memories of a family business that traded in Lynn town centre for more than a century.

The shop opened in 1770 and occupied a prime location at 142 Norfolk Street until the 1980s.

A display charting the history of the business, including photographs and catalogues will be open in the riverside lobby at the Hanse House on the South Quay from 9am to 6pm on Friday (June 10) and Saturday and from 10am to 5pm on Sunday.

It will also feature World War 11 memories of Mrs Barbara Taylor SRN.

On Saturday at 11am, family member Jim Taylor will give a talk about the business at Trues Yard Fisherfolk Museum. Again, admission is free and there is no need to book.

Any funds raised by the two events will go to the museum.
