Sister Act, the feel-good musical comedy, is being staged by King’s Lynn Operatic and Dramatic Society in April.

KLODS are only the second regional production company to be allowed to gain the performing rights for this West End and international classic.

Margaret Fox, the chairman, said: “with the show being a near sell out for Norfolk and Norwich Operatic Society’s January production, we are sure the West Norfolk audiences will be able to appreciate the emotionally charged musical comedy at a local venue with all the glitz and strong performance values that KLODS has always dedicated itself to.

“But most of all, it is a fun show that will leave you singing and smiling after a memorable evening of musical theatre at its best.

“Expect sassy songs, mixing soul, disco, funk, and Motown, and a storyline to inspire. Join us for an unmissable theatrical treat.”

Sister Act will be staged nightly at 7.30pm at King’s Lynn Arts Centre from April 22-25 and is sure to take West Norfolk by a rejoiceful storm of music, drama, friendship, love and human nature at its best.

With all main roles now cast, ‘nuns’ in place and the production team working hard, KLODS are still looking for talented male singers and performers to join the chorus ensemble who will also be required to play a number of supporting roles.

Any men interested will need to be able to sing and previous stage experience would be an advantage. If you are interested in finding out more about these opportunities, contact KLODS via its Facebook page or by calling 07786 548481.

Sister Act tells the hilarious story of Deloris Van Cartier, a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and the police hide her in the last place anyone would think to look — a Convent!

Under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own: a sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship.
