Members of the Friends of Hardwick Road Cemetery in Lynn will be busy with a spring-clean this weekend – and residents are welcome to join in.
Colin Houseman, the group’s treasurer, said: “There’s a variety of tasks to do including the manual such as weeding and clearing headstones but also including grave numbering and checking/recording inscriptions.
“Everyone is welcome so please come along if you can, even if only for an hour or two. It’s a good way to get to know the cemetery and the Friends.”
The sessions this weekend will be from 11am-4pm, or you could join in on May 21-22, June 18-19, August 20-21, September 17-18 and October 15-16.

The amenity group is keen to publicise the work that is carried out to improve the Victorian cemetery which has made an important contribution to the heritage of King’s Lynn.
Guided walks will be held later in the year – watch out for details in the Lynn News.
