The Arts Lounge Gallery in the Market Place, Swaffham is hosting its Spring arts exhibition, which continues to April 25.
Artists from the surrounding area from Norwich to Cleethorpes are exhibiting paintings, glass sculpture, ceramics, bronze resin animals, silver jewellery and also pottery.
Lyn Stanford from St Germans is celebrating 50 years of being a potter and is exhibiting an array of tableware to choose from. A group of artists from Saint Nazaire in France are also exhibiting their acrylic seascape works which are really colourful and attracting a lot of attention.
For the first time, a small display of hand-made vintage children’s clothes by designer Elizabeth Elvin will be available to purchase. The gallery is open from Monday-Friday 9.30am-5pm and Saturday 9.30am-4pm.
Looking further ahead, Swaffham is hosting a Classic Car & Motorcycle meet on Sunday, April 30, from 11am-3pm.
This will be in the Market Place and it is anticipated that this year’s event will be bigger that last year, as 43 classic vehicles of various kinds, including Second World War military vehicles, have pre-registered to attend.
There will also be a couple of vintage motorcycles, but if you have one then you are invited to go along and join in. There are 55 spaces altogether, no entrance or exhibitor fee is being charged, but donations are most welcome.
Refreshments will be available and some of the shops will be open too.
