Step back to the 60's in show at King's Lynn Corn Exchange




The Sensational 60’s Experience will be appearing at Kings Lynn Corn Exchange on Saturday, October 23.

Audience will be able to step back in time to when pop music was at its very best.

With a brand new production the Sensational 60’s Experience brings a three hour 60’s spectacular of pure nostalgia.

The show with the definite feel good factor will transport fans back to that magical decade that was the 1960’s. Five legendary names take to the stage and deliver a night never to be forgotten with dancing in the aisles predicted.

Alan Wearmouth from Stageright Promotions Ltd said: "It’s the first time we’ve had Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich on The Sensational 60’s Experience Tour, and it’s creating quite a bit of interest.

"It would be great to let the people of Lynn know that the show is coming back, after the awful time we’ve all had to endure."

Whether it's to relive your childhood memories or simply seeing what parents have been raving about for all these years, fans are encouraged to come and experience the musical phenomena of the 1960’s that is full of timeless classics.

Performers include Mike Pender, of The Searchers that were formed by him and John McNally originally as a Skiffle group in Liverpool in 1959. As they went into the 60’s they turned to mainstream pop. They were rivalled only by The Beatles and Gerry and The Pacemakers.

Also performing will be The Trems, all former members of The Tremeloes originally called Brian Poole And The Tremeloes they started out as an English beat group founded in Dagenham Essex in 1958,.

Also starring are Dozy, Beaky Mick and Tich, originally called Dave Dee And The Bostons formed in 1961. Changing their name to Dave Dee, Dozy Beaky Mick and Tich in 1964.

In 1966 the band were in the charts for 50 weeks out of 52. with record sales out selling The Rolling Stones and The Beatles.

On the bill too are The Fortunes who hail from Birmingham first coming into prominence in 1964 with their hit single Caroline.

The Dakotas will also be strutting their stuff. Originally convened as a backing group from Manchester, the band were largely associated with Billy J Kramer.
