Step into a giant Christmas gift and meet gingerbreads

Lynn’s annual Christmas Lights Switch-On event returns to the town centre this Sunday and is sure to leave everyone feeling festive and warm inside.

This year’s event is set to be bigger and brighter than ever.

The usual Christmas lights will be accompanied by some extra special displays this season thanks to Discover King’s Lynn, in collaboration with Vancouver Quarter.

Throughout this festive period, Lynn will be home to a cheery family of human-sized gingerbread characters who are ready to make people smile.

The family of four will be stationed outside the former Argos building surrounded by a sparkling, festive forest, where they’ll be happy to have their photograph taken. Their two cousins are parked just down the street outside TKMaxx, so be sure to visit.

In addition to this festive family, Discover King’s Lynn have made it possible for you to step into Christmas, literally.

A beautiful, illuminated, walkthrough present will be stationed on the Tuesday Market Place until January, providing the perfect backdrop for your festive, family photos.

Step inside the giant gift, feel the glow of its golden lights and snap a pic to remember the moment. Discover King’s Lynn want to see all your selfies with these special installations, so be sure to hashtag #DKLchristmas on any you upload to social media.

Discover King’s Lynn have contributed plenty more to the borough council’s switch-on event, including a local food and drink marquee on the Tuesday Market Place.
