King's Lynn summer cinema club

There is no holiday for King’s Lynn Community Cinema Club members over the summer with another busy month of entertainment planned for August.

After the usual monthly film in July with a pre-film hog roast, plus four extra screenings and a close up talk organised jointly with King’s Lynn Festival, the club has another two movie nights planned for this month.

On Thursday, August 11 the poignant French film Petite Maman which follows how eight-year-old Nelly deals with the loss of her much-loved grandmother through a new friendship.

Then on Thursday, August 25 there is something completely different with the comedy drama Rams starring Sam Neill and Miranda Richardson.

Set in Australia two warring brothers are forced to reunite when the future of their prized flocks of sheep are threatened.

There are more social events planned for members with another pre film meal this time at the Riverside restaurant on Thursday, August 11 and the regular post films drink and chat at Ferry Lane Social Club.

All films are screened at St George’s Guildhall, King Street starting at 7.30pm and are free to KLCCC members.

All over 18s are welcome to come along to any film as a day member for £5 on the door or details of how to become a member can be found on the club website, Facebook page or by emailing communitycinemaclub@googlemail.com
