Holme-next-the-Sea open gardens organiser who created hit-show Come Dine With Me is swapping Marigolds for marigolds at event
An open gardens day will be taking place on Sunday, July 2 in Holme-next-the-Sea.
Starting at 11am until 5.30pm, visitors can collect a map with the garden locations from St Mary’s Church.
Nell Butler, organiser of the event said: “It is my first year running the event.
“As the creator of Channel Four's hit TV show Come Dine with Me I am making a big leap from food to flowers.
“It is a stressful transition.
“I have swapped my marigolds for marigolds.
“I was never a great cook and I'm an even worse gardener but I truly believe you do not need skill or knowledge to enjoy the genius of others.
“Fortunately my team in Holme is top quality. “
“We not only have great gardens, we also have the best cake-makers and amazing wildlife experts.”
Tickets are £5 which covers all locations and children get free entry.
There will be free parking and bus to get round to see all the gardens.
Lunches, refreshments, raffle, books, garden plant sale, jams and chutneys, tombola, moth trap and ideas for container garden will all be available throughout the day.
The event has been organised by the Help Holme Church Group in aid of St Mary’s Church.
