A husband and wife duo are all set to open their first exhibition at Westacre Theatre today, merging their talents and showcasing a variety of photographs, paintings and words.
Steven Skipper and Jo Pluckrose have both lived in North and West Norfolk for most of their lives and have developed a deep appreciation of this idyllic corner of the universe.
Norfolk features heavily in their exhibition, particularly its coastline, Swaffham Heath and the Nar Valley, although there will also be images from Cornwall, Scotland, the Lake District and even Iceland, following Jo and Steven’s recent trip there.
Jo developed an interest in photography after acquiring a digital camera ten years ago. Not to be left out, Steven, an engineer by trade, took up the pastime a year later starting with an interest in sporting photography.
The couple’s photographs will be available to purchase as aluminium, acrylic and canvas as well as the more traditionally framed and unframed prints. Also available to buy will be a selection of Jo’s paintings and her book, Reflections, containing a collection of thoughts and observations.
The exhibition runs until the New Year and can be viewed during theatre performances or by appointment only.
