Tonight the Maids Head on Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place puts itself well and truly on the live music map with an epic gig.

Twisted Melon Promotions has teamed up with one of the hottest bands around to bring an American Pie Party Night!

Triston Finnis, of Twisted Melon, writes: “The Years are the new guys on the block.

“Made up of past members of Cambridge-based original band The First, Rob Knight, Ben Taylor and Adam Masters are joined by guitarist Lee Batiuk to create the freshest modern rock and pop rock covers band around.

“The First were one of the most successful acts to come out of the area over the past few years appearing alongside Black Sabbath and Sound Garden at British Summertime in Hyde Park, performing at Download Festival and supporting Deaf Havana on recent tours.

“Expect a varied and energetic set from all of the biggest bands of the last decade, with plenty of classic crowd-pleasers thrown in for good measure. Featuring songs from bands like Foo Fighters, Sum 41, Feeder, Blur, Fountains of Wayne, All American Rejects and more.

“The Years truly bring something different to the covers scene. If you’re expecting a normal pub gig think again! The incredible musicianship coupled with The Years professional lighting and sound set up will make this an event not to be missed.

“Incredibly this event is free entry so turn up early to avoid disappointment.”
