Westacre Theatre screenings of Royal Opera House ballet and comedy film starring Emma Thompson
There is a chance to see a special screening of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland on the big screen.
Westacre Theatre will be showing the ballet performance, in two acts, which was filmed live at the Royal Opera House, on screen in the studio.
It is a perfect opportunity to see the show, suitable for families, this Sunday, March 5 at 2.30pm and tickets are £12 and lunches are still available with bookings.
Adult meals are priced at £15 and under 12s are £8.
A screening of the film Good Luck To You, Leo Grande is showing in the Westacre Theatre studio on Wednesday, March 8 at 2pm.
It stars Emma Thompson and Daryl McCormack in a comedy -drama directed by Sophie Hyde.
The plot centres around Nancy Stokes, a retired school teacher, who is yearning for some adventure, and some sex.
And she has a plan, which involves hiring a young sex worker named Leo Grande.
The certificate of the film is 15 and pre-screening lunches, served from 1.15pm, are available to order when booking tickets.
Further events include Life Theatre on Sunday, March 12 from 10am-4pm and costs £45.
Based on an idea seen in London’s theatres, museums and galleries, Life Theatre combines elements of performance and movement, light and sound.
Artists can explore the human figure in a uniquely theatrical environment.
This class is untutored but hosted and curated by local artist Helen Breach and all levels of ability are welcome.
Participants need to bring their own drawing materials and refreshments will be provided. Numbers are limited.
