Westacre Theatre welcomes star of stage and screen this November for production of award-winning play Constellations by Nick Payne
A theatre is looking forward to welcoming a talented TV actor to its hidden gem of a venue for its latest play.
Westacre Theatre is reuniting actor Kirsty Bushell with its own artistic director Matt Grist for a stage production of Nick Payne’s play Constellations.
The pair trained together at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art together 25 years ago and Kirsty has worked extensively with the Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre, and Shakespeare’s Globe.
Recent credits include Beatrice in A View from the Bridge, Regan in National Theatre Live: King Lear and Ismende in Antigone at the Barbican.
TV credits include recurring roles in Motherland, Casualty, Silent Witness and EastEnders.
Matt went on to work as an actor and director and has been known to Westacre audiences for some time.
In 2021 he moved with his family from London to Norfolk, where he and his wife Sadie took on the running of the theatre.
His recent roles have included School For Wives by Molierè, Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Ernest, Private Lives by Nöel Coward and Harold Pinter’s Betrayal.
Written by Nick Payne and winner of the 2022 Olivier Award for Best Play Revival, Constellations is a gloriously romantic play about free will and friendship.
A quantum physicist and a beekeeper meet at a barbecue. They hit it off, or perhaps they don’t.
They go home together, or maybe they go their separate ways. Every possible future is ahead of them.
Westacre Theatre is offering audiences the chance to get their cultural fix for the autumn with a wealth of high-quality, exciting, and thought-provoking plays featuring dynamic and talented actors in their award-winning venue.
The play will be taking place on November 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 at 7.30pm and on November 9 and 16 the production will be on at 3pm.
Tickets to this play are £18 and are available online at www.westacretheatre.com or via the box office on 01760 755007.
