Family activity day at True’s Yard Fisherfolk Museum during King’s Lynn Mart
To celebrate the return of the Lynn Mart, a museum is bringing the fun indoors with an activity day.
True’s Yard Fisherfolk Museum will bring the fun of the fair indoors with a funfair-themed family event.
The activity day, which takes place on Wednesday, February 21, is free for children and one accompanying adult.
Families can enjoy a journey around the museum with different activities in each location.
Activities include crafts and classic games like hook a duck, skittles, ring toss, a lucky dip, and more.
Lindsey Bavin, museum curator, said: “The Mart is an important part of Lynn’s history.
“Ever since Henry VIII sealed the Charter granting a Valentine’s Day fair in 1537 it has been celebrated with only a few missed years due to plagues, or wars.
“Locally however the mart is also known for ‘Mart Weather’ so we wanted to create a weatherproof option for families which also has the bonus of being free.”
Activities will take place between 10:30am-12noon and 1pm-3:00pm.
The museum is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00am-4:00pm with the last admission at 3:30pm.
